Q: What are the system requirements?

A:
The Drunken & Tipsy Clock will work under Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000 and WinXP (which is NT5). Also required: A Pentium class processor or compatible, RAM 32Mb or more, DirectX 6 or later. Latest release of the DirectX you can download from http://www.microsoft.com/directx.

Q: How can I get into the configuration dialog?

A:
Click the Start Button, then choose Programs -> Drunken Clock (or Tipsy Clock) -> Configure screensaver.

Q: How can I install new skins?

A:
In the configuration dialog go to the Skins tab and click the 'Download New Skins' button. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

Q: How can I delete a skin?

A:
To delete a skin you should open Configuration dialog (Start -> Programs -> Drunken (Tipsy) Clock -> Configure screensaver) and on Skins tab select a skin and press small button on the right.

Q: Why can't I see a background while using new skins?

A:
You are using an older version of the Drunken Clock. The new skins are mapped correctly since Drunken Clock version 2.90. Download the latest version.

Q: How can I make the skin to the Drunken and Tipsy Clocks?

A:
In the 'C:\Program files\Common files\Drunken Clock\' directory create 'skinX' folder (X is a number from 0 to 99). These folder should contain the following files:

     0.bmp		- center of clock
     1.bmp		\
     2.bmp		 |
      ...		 | - numbers on clock-face
     11.bmp		 |
     12.bmp		/
     h.bmp - hour hand of clock
     m.bmp - minute hand of clock
     s.bmp - second hand of clock
     bg.bmp (.jpg)	- background
     logo.bmp (.jpg)	- logo for preview (40 x 40 pixels)
     settings.ini	- name of skin and other settings
For skin creation you need any graphics editor, e.g. MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop etc. All pictures can have a different amount of colours and should be saved in the noncompressed BMP format. Skin background and logo can be saved in the JPG format (recommended).

If the skin background (bg.bmp) is less than screen size, it will be tiled on the entire screen.

The 'settings.ini' file should contain the following lines (on an example of the 'Ice Winter' skin):

[SETTINGS]
name=Ice winter Skin name
fullscreen=1 1 - change video mode; 0 - use user defined video mode from settings dialog of the screensaver. (=0 by default).
video_width=800
video_height=600
video_bitcount=16
If fullscreen=1 then this parameters define video mode for this skin.
bg_move_x=1 If =1 then allows horizontal movements of a background. (=1 by default)
bg_move_y=0 If =1 then allows vertical movements of a background. (=1 by default)
snow_type=ST_SNOW-1 Snow type. In the present moment only one type (ST_SNOW-1) is accessible.
text= Write here the one line information about yourself. For example 'Copyright (c) Your Name, City, Country'. This line will be displayed in the settings dialog of the screen saver when your skin will be selected.
url= You can write here your personal home page address. In this case, information about yourself will be transformed to link and user can go to your page directly from configuration dialog of the Drunken Clock Screensaver. For example 'http://www.my-provider.com/myhomepage.htm'

Q: Can I add an another interface language?

A:
Sure. To do this edit the 'DrunkenClock.ini' (or 'TipsyClock.ini' for Tipsy Clock Screensaver) file located in the screensaver folder. Please add an additional [LANG-*] section in the drunkenclock.ini file. You should add an appropriate unique language number instead of *. Note that the section must have the same structure as the [LANG-0] one. Now enter in the created section after each sign '=' the phrase in your language. Save the 'DrunkenClock.ini' (or 'TipsyClock.ini') file. Now you can select your language in the configuration dialog.

Q: What are your future plans for the Drunken & Tipsy Clocks?

A:
It is planned that in some months there will be a 3D version of the Drunken Clock. And certainly skins... more skins.
